Pro-China rally in Amsterdam to support Olympics
    Cincinnati Sun
    Sunday 11th May, 2008

Thousands of Chinese students and Chinese Dutch people have staged a rally on the Dam Square in downtown Amsterdam in support of the Beijing Olympic Games being held in August.

Tens of thousands of brochures, leaflets and souvenirs about China and the Beijing Olympics were handed out at the rally.

Several thousand signatures, from people of Chinese and other ethnic backgrounds, were collected in support of the Beijing Games.

With their faces and arms painted with images of China's five-star red flag and Beijing Olympics symbols, demonstrators waved Chinese and Dutch national colours and chanted: 'Welcome to Beijing, Welcome to China!'

Fu Junwei, a law doctorate candidate at the Tilburg University who helped organise the rally, said Chinese students in the Netherlands felt insulted by some slanted media reports about China and decided to do something.

Fu Junwei was happy that many Dutch people helped with the preparations for the rally, such as translation of the slogans and leaflets, and many Dutch people signed on the Olympics banner that is to be presented to the Beijing Olympics Organising Committee.

It's all just a little bit of history repeating

There is no difference between china holding the olympics in 2008, and the 1936 olympic games in Nazi Germany. In time, both parties were found to have extaordinary human rights violations. Just as Nazi Germany had it’s “pro” supporters then, so too does china have its supporters now. Their eyes were/have been fitted with blinkers by their respective governments. Like the Nazi supporters before them, pro-china supporters have no idea of the abuse their government is actually involved in. The truth is always revealed in time.

    FOR PEACE

I support the pro-China rally and the fact that tibet has always been a part of China. No autonomy should be given for tibet, for it’s a ploy to divide and weaken China. Best wishes to China and may it’s rise brings peace to the world.

Pro-China rally in Amsterdam to support Olympics

TIME TO STAND UP It’s about time that Chinese’d their says in dealing with Tibet and Fun Looking Good(funlon kong). They do’ve their rights and freedom of speech, isn’t it? Not just merely the Western way and Western-dictated rights and democracy. Never before since the war with the Jap’s invasion had China felt so humiliaated and intimidated. There’re two versons of Democracy vis-a-vis the Western and the Eastern Ways. Both should have equal rights and claims.

    Dalai's 1951 Telegram to Mao

Why argueing so much with these bunch of kids who only like to be spoonfed by Dalai Liar. To prove they are only the foot-soldiers on bandwagen of neo-con’s geopolitical agenda, one document should be enough as follows, the full text of the Dalai’s 1951 telegram to Mao: “Chairman Mao of the Central People’s Government: This year the local government of Tibet sent five delegates with full authority headed by Kaloon Ngapoi to Beijing in late April 1951 to conduct peace talks with delegates with full authority appointed by the Central People’s Government. On the basis of friendship, delegates on both sides concluded the Agreement on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet on May 23,1951. The local government of Tibet as well as the Tibetan monks and laymen unanimously support this agreement, and under the leadership of Chairman Mao and the Central People’s Government, will actively assist the People’s Liberation Army in Tibet to consolidate national defence, drive imperialist influences out of Tibet and safeguard the unification of the territory and the sovereignty of the motherland. I hereby send this cable to inform you of this. “

China has some 8000 + of Planning and Development...

... , and a history of Governmental Leadership towards the Goals of the State. And has always included even the 'lowest of the peoples' within that Planning and Development. Inclusion rather then the exclusions practiced so extensively in My Country the USA. For example the Chinese Government’s Involvment in the New Major Aircraft Company. The following ARTICLE shows the planning involment and Leadership of the Chinese Government for the whole country gain. Sorely missing in US Policy Making! The article: Published on ShanghaiDaily.com (http://www.shanghaidaily.com/) http://www.shanghaidaily.com/sp/article/2008/200805/20080511/article_359142.htm China unveils giant jet company Created: 2008-5-11 14:12:15 CHINA’S first ever jumbo passenger aircraft company was officially inaugurated in Shanghai today. The company, named Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (CACC), will be responsible for researching, developing, manufacturing and marketing the made-in-China large passenger aircraft. The CACC has a registered capital of 19 billion yuan (US$2.7 billion). The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission alone invests 6 billion yuan, becoming the biggest shareholder. Shareholders of the new company also include China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I), the country’s largest aircraft producer, and China Aviation Industry Corporation II (AVIC II). Zhang Qingwei, minister of then State Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, was appointed as the company’s board chairman. Establishment of the company was approved in February 2007 by the State Council, China’s Cabinet. This was to make the country capable of building aircraft with a take-off weight of more than 100 tonnes, or planes with more than 150 seats. People, stop complaining about China. Look at your own countries' histories before you criticize others. Do you know China’s history, do you know Chinese, are you Chinese? If you answer no to any of these, you should keep neutral.
